A few months ago, Motion Gang rapper G.T. unleashed his Call Me G.T. project. Now he returns to deliver his latest single “Going Long,” and he made sure to tap Babyface Ray in for the assist. The new freshly released Tremaine Edwards-directed visual sees them in flourishing in a variety of settings, from a penthouse, to the dessert, to the club.
The new Call Me G.T. includes guest verses from names like Curren$y, Icewear Vezzo, Peezy, and fellow Wavy Gang partner, Babyface Ray. The body of work comes in perfect timing to keep his momentum, as he’s been picking up steam after grabbing titles like being named 1 of Audiomack’s 10 Rappers You Should Know Right Now in back February.
In terms of how he’s feeling at this point in his career, G.T. is feeling as hopeful as ever. “I wrote down my goals and scratching them all off, God willing!” he says via press release. “First, I prayed for it, then I put action towards my prayer, and now what you see is the result of that.”
Earlier this year in January, G.T. dropped off a self-titled project with eight tracks and no features to let his bars shine. Before that was 2020’s Merciless project, which made landfall In December and boasted assists from artists like Larry June, Samuel Shabazz, Babyface Ray, Sterl Gotti, and Roland Benberry 3.
Babyface Ray officially shared his Unfuckwitable EP back in February. The EP includes production from Hit Boy, Hoodrich Keem and features Moneybagg Yo, Kash Doll, and EST Gee. Prior to the release, Babyface Ray gave fans a taste of the project by dropping his “If You Know You Know” music video with Moneybagg Yo.
