Back in March, Covaboy unveiled the nine-track EP Silver Sity, which saw additional features from King Quell, Garren, Abdou, Tracie Josephine, and Curren$y — the last of whom contributed to the standout track “S.F.H.” Since then, the Silver Spring, MD native has continued to expand his reach as the world begins to reopen, landing on stages like National Cannabis Fest’s COVID-safe drive-in party.

Currently, Covaboy is said to be putting the finishing touches on a deluxe edition of Silver Sity, which will surely add to the overall shelf life of what’s arguably one of the best projects out of the DMV this year. This week, he gives fans a taste of what to expect with his latest single “Die Too Much,” an Ill Wonka-produced effort that sees him in full-blown introspection — a dope characteristic that’s prevalent in many of his songs:

“Momma still complainin’, tell me I don’t swing by enough, but I’m just tryna live, you know, niggas seem to die too much, I just left a candlelight, and I ain’t even cry too much, ‘cause they won’t let it slide, dog, I promise you, they slidin’ up, but I’m just tryna live, you know, niggas seem to die too much…”

In addition, Covaboy can also be heard speaking on his recent excursion through Los Angeles as his career continues to move onward and upward — a process that can be seen in the accompanying visual for “Die Too Much,” delivered courtesy of Chase Money TV and MotionPicture Larry. In the clip, life seems to be pretty good, with Covaboy spotted at a function with friends, living his life as best as one can.
