West Coast stars YG and Mozzy have officially broke the news that a collab project is on the way. The forthcoming Perfect Timing is expected to arrive soon, but this doesn’t come as a complete shock as the two have just recently shared their “Bompton To Oak Park” cut last week to prep fans. Today, they tapped in with Blxst to share the official music video for the project’s title track. In the new video, the three take a trip to Cabo together and Blxst opens up the track with the intro hook:
The timing was perfect, but as humble as I am I kinda deserve it/ We done got it out the mud and climbed to the surface, if I’ma take the risk then it gotta be worth it/ ‘Cause look at all the people I helped
YG can most recently be heard alongside Big Sean for their “Go Big” single on the new Coming 2 America soundtrack. He also rounded up his artists Day Sulan and D3 for their brand new collab project 4Hunnid Presents: Gang Affiliated in March. Preceding the EP’s official release, fans were able to get a taste of the project from the visuals for “Bailar” and “Hit Em Up.”
In terms of other recent collabs, Mozzy can be heard on Kalan.frfr’s recent “No Love” track and linked up with YFN Lucci in the official music video for “Rolled On.” Shortly after, Mozzy returned yet again to deliver a brand new song and visual of his own, “Neva Said It” and Mozzy enlisted Blxst for his introspective single “Keep Hope.” Back in May, Mozzy released Beyond Bulletproof, his fifth studio album, which featured artists like Polo G, Shordie Shordie, and Eric Bellinger and peaked at #43 on the Billboard 200. He then dropped a follow-up project Occupational Hazard shortly after.
Last month, Blxst treated fans to a surprise two-pack EP featuring Drakeo The Ruler and Russ. He just dropped off the official music video for “Fck Boys” from the project. Just For Clarity pack is the first release since Blxst’s critically acclaimed debut project, No Love Lost, late last year.
