One of the most inspiring and wholesome stories from the tail-end of 2020 is the rise of Amorphous, everyone’s favorite young mash-up connoisseur. Back in November, he revealed his mash-up version of Luther Vandross’ “Never Too Much” and Rihanna’s “Kiss It Better,” and it took social media by an absolute storm. The track was so infectious that it caught the attention of DJ Khaled and Cool & Dre, Fat Joe, who added in their own flavor and partnered with the young producer prodigy to make it into an official single.
Amorphous is now back to make his official debut, and he decided to tap in with R&B’s favorite Kehlani for the assist. Today, he excitedly reveals his first single “Back Together,” which sees Kehlani riding over Amorphous’ smooth production:
Heard that the streets have been talkin’ you’ve been askin’ all about me/ Like I’m not fuckin’ with somebody, they fall back when I say I got it/ ’Cause it ain’t they place (Place) and you can say it to my face now/ Been a little while lookin’ FaceTime, pull up to my crib, face to face time
Kehlani is officially back on the scene in full force. Just last week, she linked up with the legendary T-Pain to share their collaboration track “I Like Dat.” She also made an appearance on AJ Tracey’s sophomore LP The Flu Game, and was the co-star for Pink Sweat$ lead single from his PINK PLANET project. Kehlani was playing through everyone’s speakers last year in May when she shared her project It Was Good Until It Wasn’t, which saw features from Jhene Aiko, Masego, Lucky Daye, and James Blake. She has also treated fans to a few guest appearances on some strong singles such as “Take You Back” with Russ and “Touch Me (Remix) with Victoria Monet.
Be sure to press play on Amorphous’ brand new single “Back Together” featuring Kehlani.
