Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, then you’ve seen T-Pain’s recent social media post where he realizes he’s been missing a wealth of DMs from fellow peers. Since then, the legendary artist-producer began an apology tour of sorts, going on live feeds to speak to fans and celebrities alike — Lil Jon, Zedd, Rich the Kid, and Bun B are but a few of whom joined him during his recent stream. We already know that he’s begun collaborating with some of these big names who have reached out to him — T-Pain and Jamie Foxx, creators of the 2009 chart-topper “Blame It,” are seemingly back in the studio cooking something up for 2021.

Today, we get to check out a new single from T-Pain titled “I Like Dat,” which features Kehlani and was first premiered on Instagram Live earlier this week. The track is an apparent ode to all of the beautiful women getting to the bag by any means:

“Ooh, she don’t want no drink, she want the rent paid, Ooh, she don’t pay for nothin’, she just get paid, woah, woah, ooh, she don’t even need me to drive, ooh, she pull up in the ‘Rari with the roof gone, ooh/

I’m just buying drinks and doin’ too much, oh, yeah, woah, woah, ooh, what? I like that, she don’t even need me to buy her nothin’/”

“I Like Dat” follows last year’s “Get Up” and “Wake Up Dead” with Chris Brown. T-Pain’s latest official body of work was 2019’s 1UP, a 12-track offering that saw additional appearances from Boosie Badazz, Tory Lanez, O.T. Genasis, Lil Wayne, Russ, Flipp Dinero, and more. Hopefully, the Floridian star will make a big return with a follow-up album by year’s end.
