According to various outlets, Rich The Kid is said to be working on his next project LUCKY 7. Presumably in promotion of that forthcoming release, he recently released a visual for his latest single “Split,” which finds him rapping about his success as a rapper and label head over production from Krazy Mob’s WhatItDoBum:
“Looking for me, I’m in Calabasas, Rich Forever, plus I been had it, Maybach, got the Benz matted, bend it over ‘cause she got a fattie, ay, yeah, she got a friend, what is your name? Put you in the gang/
She got a bang, can’t hit it, no, but I’m makin’ her sing, ten milli’, we could split it, fuck the label, like the bank, I get it, we could do it like B.I.G. and Diddy…/”
Directed by Rich Porter, the video shows Rich The Kid flexing his wealth in the Bahamas, showing off his Maybach and private plane, relaxing on the beach, and more. The clip is a clear indication that the Atlanta-based star has no plans of slowing down.
“Split” follows an apparent rift between Rich The Kid and his Rich Forever artist Jay Critch — he took to social media to accuse Critch of shady business earlier this month:
“Your own n***as will try to snake you for 100k if you needed it you could just ask me !!! DAMN No amount of money could turn me snake.. NOT 500k or 5 million. Tell these ppl The truth how I get YOU A DEAL AND YOU TRY TO CROSS ME OUT.”
Last March, Rich The Kid blessed the masses with his third studio album BOSS MAN, which saw 20 tracks and additional appearances from Lil Baby, Future, DaBaby, Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, Lil Tjay, Quavo, and more. He later teamed up with frequent collaborator YoungBoy Never Broke Again for the joint effort Nobody Safe, landing the two artists within the top twenty of the Billboard 200.
