Back in 2019, Doja Cat liberated her sophomore album Hot Pink, a 12-track body of work that saw additional appearances from Smino, Gucci Mane, and Tyga. While not an immediate chart-topper due to its mid-week release, the project has since both earned Doja a Gold certification and her first top ten placement on the Billboard 200.

One of the more notable standouts from Hot Pink is “Streets,” a song that has more recently taken on a life of its own, mainly thanks to a #SilhouetteChallenge that took Tik Tok and other platforms by storm. Produced by Blaq Tuxedo and sampling B2K’s “Streets Is Callin,” the hard-hitting track sees Doja singing and rapping about a certain love interest she can’t seem to shake off:

“Baby, we tried to fight it, we all been there some days, thought I needed something else, and acted like I was okay, we just had to work it out, and baby, I needed space, ain’t nobody ‘round here on your level, you’re so far away…/”

Today, fans now get to check out an official visual for “Streets,” which takes the aforementioned challenge and turns up the heat. Directed by Christian Breslauer, the video stars Kofi Siriboe and sees the Ghanaian-American actor driving a taxi before catching eyes with a mannaquin Doja in a storefront. She comes to life and almost immediately places him in trance-like, trippy environments — he eventually snaps back to reality when Doja makes herself known as his passenger.

In addition to “Streets,” Hot Pink has also spawned other dope cuts like “Juicy,” “Like That,” and the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper “Say So,” the last of which subsequently saw an updated assist from Nicki Minaj. Currently, Doja is said to be working on an official follow-up titled Planet Her.
