Just last month, Drakeo the Ruler dropped off his headline-making The Truth Hurts project for fans to enjoy. He’s spoiling his supporters with consistency as he revs up his engine to drop yet another body of work, the forthcoming Ain’t That The Truth. Drakeo has enlisted the help of Shordie Shordie and Ralfy The Plug for the first taste from the project, the freshly released “Just Retire” record. On the track, Drakeo gives a preview of what’s to come on the June project:
Ripley’s believe it or not I got a chop, drum on it, I ain’t into stocks and bonds/ Put some money on yo’ head, ‘cause we do this all the time/ My shooter gifted, he’ll hit you from a thousand miles, I’m the n***a that’s gon’ have yo’ momma cryin’, I’m the reason that all yo’ homies die/ The only way I see it is that I have it my way, he’s never comin’ back and that’s that, just retire
The aforementioned The Truth Hurts offering is a 17-track project that boasts a dope list of guest appearances, including names include Drake, Don Toliver, Icewear Vezzo, SaySoTheMac, Damon Elbert, the late Ketchy The Great, and a few others.
Drakeo was far from inactive in 2020, as he released multiple projects without skipping a beat. Drakeo the Ruler celebrated his birthday just a few months ago by dropping his We Know The Truth mixtape at the top of December and he followed up swiftly with the deluxe version with an additional seven tracks. The original release We Know The Truth included guest appearances from Lil Yachty, Tee Grizzley, Rich The Kid, and Lil Mosey as well as fellow members of the Stinc Team (Rassy Bugatti, Ketchy The Great, and Ralfy The Plug) with the deluxe edition boasting additional features from Sean Kingston and Shoreline Mafia’s OhGeesy.
