It’s been a year and some change since Summer Walker dropped her Over It album, but the project still holds a place in R&B lovers’ rotations like it’s brand new. Directed by Lacey Dukes and filmed in Malibu and Calabasas, the new video finds Summer in a tranquil, reflective state, switching from various scenes of her overlooking a stunning view and enjoying her time at during a calm beach sunset as she sings:
Baby, I’m talkin’ crazy. I need you right in my space, but I need it, baby, I’m late, but I, still can check in with you. I know that I need my friend, but I, wouldn’t wanna leave you, no, oh, I. Wouldn’t wanna plead. But my heart, my mind and my body is sayin’. My mind, my mind, and my body is. My body is sayin’ my mind, my mind, and my heart. My body is sayin’. I don’t know what it is, I can’t tell you what it is. But you got me goin’ crazy. Sex with you is so amazin’. How, how long can you go, baby? Better last ‘til my body’s sore, ‘cause it’s crazy.
The aforementioned Over It project has experienced immense success since its release, containing the platinum-certified single “Come Thru” and the double-platinum hit “Playing Games.” The latter has spent 20 weeks on the Hot 100. She previously grabbed wins at the iHeartRadio Music Awards for Best New R&B Artist and the Billboard Music Awards for Top R&B Female Artist.
