Anderson .Paak and Busta Rhymes teamed up to deliver a treat. Their new collab “YUUUU” comes equipped with an action-packed visual to match the energetic song.
As many certainly already know, “plain music video” and “Busta Rhymes” could never exist in the same sentence. Although the new Benny Boom directed “YUUUU” visual is in black and white, the excitement oozes through the screen as Busta Rhymes and Anderson .Paak play assassins who are targeting each other. The dynamic visual (literally, Busta sets off dynamite in the middle of the video) keeps viewers engaged throughout, wondering who will come out on top.
Busta is set to drop his forthcoming album Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God soon, its announcement arriving with a musical rendition from veteran comedian Chris Rock. Rock chants about no one being able to compete with Busta, so they shouldn’t even try.
Recently, Busta Rhymes paid homage to his 2000s mega-hit “I Know What You Want” featuring Mariah Carey by collaborating with Trippie Redd on “I Got You.” The new Trippie song interpolates Busta’s original hook, and the music video even includes a scene reminiscent of the opening car skit in the beginning as well.
Anderson .Paak has been putting out quality collabs all of 2020, his most recent one being his groovy single “CUT EM IN” featuring Rick Ross. The song landed on the Madden ‘21 soundtrack, which will also see appearances from Big K.R.I.T., Jack Harlow, EARTHGANG, Smino, Childish Major, Denzel Curry, and more. Paak’s last full length project was 2019’s Ventura, led by his smooth and hopeful single with Smokey Robinson “Make It Better.” Ventura was well-received and went on to win Best R&B Album at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
