This past weekend saw the release of KYLE’s sophomore studio LP See You When I am Famous!!!!!!!!!!!!, which boasts 12 new tracks from the California star and features from Tyga, Rico Nasty, Rich The Kid, Trippie Redd, Bryson Tiller, and more. One of the album’s standouts was the closer and bonus cut “See You When I’m Famous,” which features Too $hort and AzChike and sees the collaborators living the rock star life in the hills:
“Yeah, yeah, n***a, yeah, she slid wit’ it, ’cause she heard I had a million-dollar crib wit’ it/
Sent her ugly friend home and I still hit it, She was hella cool, she was hella chill wit’ it/
Yeah, she said, ‘I ain’t your average fellow’, Got this stick like Donatello…/
In your section with the Henny bottle ransom, and my only competition is my grandmama’s grandson…/”
The accompanying visual comes courtesy of Alex Bittan and is filled with women, old-school Benzes, and lots of partying with a variety of beautiful women. Simply put, it’s clear that KYLE is living his dreams of fame and success.
Speaking to Apple Music, KYLE explained how the track came together:
“The reason this is the bonus track is because it kinda doesn’t fit into any of this. It definitely represents the album—it’s called ‘See You When I’m Famous’—but it was a song I fell in love with and I had to put on here. AzChike happens to be one of my favorite rappers—my girl actually showed me AzChike. It’s one of the things where I brought the youth to the OGs, because AzChike got on really because he flipped a Too $hort song, and he had never met Too $hort. So once we had the AzChike song, it was just me and him at first, it made sense—like, let’s connect him with one of his idols. Let’s bring him to somebody he loves. And Too $hort was perfect on it.”
