This Friday, KYLE will unveil his sophomore studio LP See You When I’m Famous, which will contain the previously released single “What It Is.” Before the album drops, the California star reveals another single titled “Money Now,” which sees him and his accomplices reflecting on their struggles pre-fame:
“I remember, I was, I was broke as a b***h, my messages was hella empty, just like my fridge, yeah, girlies thought that we was camping, yeah, every time we spent the night at the crib/
Yeah, ‘cause I was pitchin’ up a damn tent, ’cause back then, n***as couldn’t pay the damn rent, it’s seventy thousand for a feature, six rings like Jordan I’ma need an extra finger/
N***a I’m so smart I tried to tell my teacher, in the, in the court I wrote them when I was a senior, yeah…/”
The accompanying visualizer shows KYLE roaming through the schools he used to attend, further giving his fans a glimpse into his younger, poorer years.
See You When I Am Famous follows KYLE’s 2018 debut Light Of Mine, which boasted his breakthrough single “iSpy” with Lil Yachty and saw additional appearances from Khalid, Kehani, 2 Chainz, and more. That album has since earned a Gold certification.
