Fredo Bang isn’t wasting any time with his music releases. After dropping the well-received Most Hated months ago, the Baton Rouge emcee is already getting fans ready for his next project In The Name of Gee, named after his late peer Gee Money who was killed in Louisiana back in 2017.
Following the hard-hitting cut “Top” comes a new track from Fredo titled “Receipts,” which is produced by go-to beatsmiths Hardbody and DJ Chose and sees him calling out rappers who aren’t speaking the truth in their music:
“Turn down your gangsta, n***a, you just makin’ music, he got a thirty, we ain’t never seen him use it/
All your friends be dead, n***a, you must f*** with Uzi, when it ‘bout that murder, b***h, I’m similar to Gucci, yeah/
B***h, if you beefin’ then we beefin’ back, say he got a body, don’t believe him, need a receipt with that/
Say he got them Drac’s, b***h, you lyin’, where you keep em at? Say he got a body, b***h, you lyin’, need a receipt with that/”
The visual comes courtesy of Jolo and keeps things simple, with Fredo rapping with an associate in his garage, Lambo truck and stacks of money in full view. It’s the usual vibe we get from Fredo, who eschews smoke and mirrors for straight-to-the-point, real life clips that his core fans can enjoy.
Most Hated was released back in April and saw 12 new tracks from Fredo Bang, along with featured appearances from Tee Grizzley, Moneybagg Yo, YNW Melly, and Lil Baby — the last of whom provided a top tier assist on the album’s opener “Get Even.”
Press play on “Receipts” below, along with the official artwork for In The Name Of Gee. Hopefully, Fredo will reveal an official release date for the project soon.
