It’s been quite a successful few years for Young Stoner Life rapper Gunna. Throughout 2019 alone, he’s managed to balance a number of solid features all while creating his highly anticipated sophomore album WUNNA. A little over two months ago, Gunna broke down the album’s acronym via Twitter (also serving as a new alias of his):

“WUNNA – Wealthy Unapologetic N*gga Naturally Authentic”

While the industry is taking full advantage of these strange COVID-19 times to deliver bodies of work almost every week, the Atlanta rapper made the right decision by quenching millions of fans’ thirst with the release of WUNNA.

Much like Gunna’s debut album Drip Or Drown 2, WUNNA holds his signature trap sounds and catchy hooks — which further proves that the YSL artist is a master at what he does. If you’re familiar with Gunna (which you should be by now), you know he’s not going to release a project without the help from YSL’s founder and front-man, Young Thug. Being featured on two records through the 18-track album, Thugger does what he does best. This feature ALONE holds weight and is a dangerous recipe for success. Additionally, Gunna taps on his friends Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Nechie, and Roddy Ricch to provide some substance to this hefty body of work.

WUNNA is full of infectious cadences, hooks and flows that most certainly plays a pivotal part in its high replay value. If you thought the drip influencer himself would miss with this one — as Martin Lawrence said — somebody done told you wrong!
