Taking to Instagram Live on Sunday (May 3), Juice WRLD’s girlfriend Ally Lotti shared some details about the late rapper’s forthcoming posthumous album and revealed its title to be The Outsiders.
“I need exactly what Jarad wanted to come out right now,” she addressed her followers “[I] remember, we were talking about The Outsiders, all that stuff.”
“That actual album… no one is ready for it,” she continued. “I’m not ready for it. And I promise you, you are not ready for it.”
Juice’s first posthumous project was previously referenced by his friend and mentor, Lil Bibby. Last month, Bibby said The Outsiders was “coming soon,” while remembering Juice on Instagram.
“Miss my lil bro walking round wit skateboards and sh*t, playing wit Yugio cards and watching Naruto,” he captioned a photo of both of them on April 9.
According to TMZ, Juice had roughly 2,000 songs in the vault before his tragic death — several of which could appear on the upcoming project. The “Lucid Dreams” rapper’s first posthumous single “Righteous” was released last week by his mother, Carmela Wallace.
“Juice was a prolific artist who dedicated his life to making music,” Wallace wrote in a statement. “Choosing how to share his upcoming music with the world has been no easy feat. Honoring the love Juice felt for his fans while shining a light on his talents and his spirit are the most important parts of this process to us.”
Beyond new music, Wallace also recently announced the Live Free 999 Fund in Juice’s honor. The organization will benefit young adults suffering from mental health issues.
“I made the decision upon his death that I was going to share his struggles with the world with the objective of helping others,” she said at the time. “It is my desire to help those who are hurting by providing access to education, prevention and treatment for opioid and other forms of drug addiction.”
