Last month, the official soundtrack for Trolls World Tour made landfall, which is led by Justin Timberlake and sees additional appearances from Mary J. Blige, George Clinton, Ester Dean, Kenan Thompson, Kelly Clarkson, SZA, HAIM, Ludwig Göransson, and more. This week, fans get to check out a visual from the compilation for Timberlake and Anderson .Paak’s collaboration “Don’t Slack.” Speaking to Genius, Timberlake explained how the single came to fruition:

Andy came on to work on the second installment of The Trolls franchise and he plays a really dope character. He plays none other than George Clinton’s son. And we had talked about doing something together and this became a really fun opportunity. We both have sons. We were talking about having a song that really had a lot of energy and something that could play at the end of the movie. And Andy started the vibe for it. I think we were trying to do a sixties’ vibe with it to give it a little something vintage, but try to be innovative with it at the same time, which I think is something you could hear in both of our music.

The music video comes courtesy of Calmatic and sees Trolls World Tour star Anna Kendrick being followed around her house by increasingly animated versions of the performers. The clip ends with the three — as some of the Trolls characters — enjoying a dance party. It’s a vibe that many of us can replicate, especially as we all look for ways to fight ongoing cabin fever during the current pandemic.
