Everyone is trying to make the best of the quarantine right now. This is certainly the case in regards to creatives, who have found new ways to create content and push their art to the masses. We’ve already seen a slew of new videos from Kehlani, Tyga, DaBaby, and more…now, Trey Songz delivers a clip of his own for the new single “Back Home,” which features assistance from Summer Walker. He revealed the single via social media, along with a message:
“One thing that’s certain is that we are right now in times that none of us have ever experienced. I thought it would be special to put together a time capsule of both my intimate and extended family living through what we would have never imagined. From my home to yours, this is my new single ‘Back Home’”
The accompanying visual for the track is a collection of in-home footage, showing daily activities with Trey Songz and his family, Summer Walker, and many others that are dealing with not being outside during the Coronavirus epidemic.
The Hitmaka-produced “Back Home” follows last year’s “Chi Chi,” which featured fellow Virginia singer Chris Brown. Prior to that, he released his seventh studio LP Tremaine, which saw 15 tracks and a single feature from VA associate MIKExANGEL. That project peaked at number three on the Billboard 200 — behind Drake’s More Life and Ed Sheeran’s ÷ — thanks to 67,000 equivalent album units sold.

Also included is an alternative video from Trey Songz, that centers on his being able to travel from Los Angeles to Petersburg during the pandemic to reunite with his family — most importantly, his one-year-old son Noah. In related news, Summer Walker has also recently provided assistance for Davido’s A Good Time cut “D&G.” You can enjoy that below as well.
