Last July, the J. Cole-led Dreamville collective delivered the third installment of their Revenge Of The Dreamers series, which saw the crew collaborating with all of their favorite artists. They then added to the compilation with a director’s cut this past January, turning the release into a massive 30 track offering for fans to enjoy. The project ended up earning all parties a number one achievement on the Billboard 200, solidifying the label and artist roster as one of the best out in hip hop and R&B.
This week, Dreamville revealed a new visual from the project for “LamboTruck,” which features Cozz alongside Reason and Childish Major and sees the collaborators questioning their status on their respective labels:
“Copped some things but I ain’t fed, dreams alive, my wallet dead/
Pockets been bleeding I got a reason to commit treason, but I’ma hit Reason and see what he think/
About how he’s been treated at TDE, ‘cause I done been scheming/
ScHoolboy just dropped, give me the cue I’m desperate enough to go do what it do, SZA done popped and y’all got Dot/
I heard Jay Rock has been moving them units, Soul and Isaiah Rashad, boy, you niggas really up at the top/”
Previously, Cole & Co. delivered videos for “Sleep Deprived,” “Sacrifices,” “Down Bad,” and “Under The Sun,” which saw a standout appearances from Mez, JID, Lute, Cole, Smino, Saba, EARTHGANG, Bas, Young Nudy and more. Add in the Dreamville Festival (which has taken a break due to the Coronavirus pandemic), the house that Cole, Omen and others have built look to continue to stay in business, much like QC, Top Dawg Entertainment and other entities within the culture right now.
