Today, west coast star Blueface liberated his official debut album Find The Beat, named after the running joke surrounding his approach to lyricism:
“They say it’s offbeat, or maybe I’m fitting too many words in, but if I didn’t fit those words in, you wouldn’t get [the effect] as much.”
The project sees 16 new tracks and appearances from YBN Nahmir, Stunna 4 Vegas, Polo G, Lil Baby, and more. Shortly after its release, Blueface also liberated a humorous new visual for the DaBaby-assisted “Obama,” which sees him rapping about his “presidential” lifestyle in usual — yet very on-beat — fashion:
“Pullin’ strings in Balenciaga, still had to lead when nobody followed/
Life is tough, b***h, suck it up, oh, yeah, don’t forget to swallow/
Gettin’ top from the top models, drinkin’ champagne out the bottle/
Rolex presidential bezels. drumsticks and my heavy metal/
Put ‘em six feet without a shovel, they wonderin’ why a n***a successful/
B***h, probably ‘cause I’m hella selfish, I can’t help ‘em if you can’t help it/”
Courtesy of Aaron Green and California Creatives, the video for the Scum Beatz-produced track starts with Blueface and DaBaby meeting with an faux Barack before turning the “Oval Office” and a party bus out with plenty of eye-candy and debauchery. Stick around for a hilarious skit at the end of the clip.
Before Find The Beat’s release, Blueface also shared the singles “Close Up” featuring Jeremih, “First Class” featuring Gunna, and — most recently — “Holy Moly,” which saw assistance from previous collaborator NLE Choppa. Prior to that, he’s also jumped on singles with Tyga and French Montana, further raising his profile as one of the frontrunners of hip hop’s current generation.
