As the release of his third collection of music, While The World Was Burning, is swiftly approaching, SAINt JHN delivers a new visual to keep fans on their toes. The rapper recently dropped off the official video for the previously released “Gorgeous” single, where he lays his verse down about being on his own timing:
“Think of me as man, then a goon, then an artist. Watch where you stomp when you walk where my clocks is. I’m not with the talk, with the talk, not the talkers. I be with the goons and the thugs goin’ bonkers. I would never stop in the park for your pardon. I be hittin’ the numbers, for real, hit the log-in. I just left Celine, yeah, I probably spent the mortgage.”
In addition to the video’s release, SAINt JHN also recently revealed the official track list for his new album. For his third “collection” of music, the Brooklyn rapper and singer enlisted features from Kehlani, Lil Uzi Vert, Future, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, J.I.D. DaBaby, and 6lack. SAINt JHN’s last full-length project was 2019’s Ghetto Lenny’s Love Songs, which included a lone feature from Janelle Kroll. Prior to that was his critically acclaimed debut Collection One. Last year, he appeared alongside Wizkid on Bey’s “Brown Skin Girl,” the lead single off of The Lion King: The Gift album.
In an interview with REVOLT, SAINt JHN shared the meaning behind his brand:
“My real name is Saint JHN, so all of these things are a part of the beginning of [my] story… The essence of how I came to be [is] rooted in religion. That’s my real name… I really practiced these beliefs. Now, I have my own informed opinion. So, when you see three words together, Christian Sex Club, they’re [just] three words until you tell me what it feels like to you… There’s an energy to the word ‘Christian,’ there’s an energy to the word ‘sex,’ there’s an energy to the word ‘club.’ For you, you tell me what the energy computes to you.”
