After delivering his No Love Lost EP back in September, Blxst is back with another single, this time with fellow West Coast artist Dom Kennedy. The two link up for “Got It All,” which includes a sample of the oldie but goodie “I Found Love (When I Found You)” by The Spinners. To open up the track, Blxst comes in with his hook, humbly bragging about his lady:
“Not the type of n***a to brag, my lady got it all. Ayy, yeah she poppin’ but never poppin’ off. Plus she bad and bougie to top it off. Tell whoever trippin’ they can knock it off. Not the type of n***a to brag, lil’ baby got it all, yeah. Am I wrong to just want to show you off? Hey, only right I chop it, the top is off. So tell whoever trippin’. You the type that make me boss up. I’ve been coolin’ but you movin’ with some hot stuff.”
The No Love Lost EP included eight new tracks and no features to let Blxst have his solo shine. He dropped off a slew of visuals for the project: “Overrated,” “Gang Slide,” “No Love Lost,” and “Be Alone.” In 2019, he released a collaboration project with Bino Rideaux titled Sixtape. Blxst initially started earning notoriety for his production work and collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, YG, Mozzy, G Perico, Eric Bellinger, Bino Rideaux and more. Blxst has shared his talent this year on Mozzy’s singles “I Ain’t Perfect” and “Streets Ain’t Safe,” as well as Bino Rideaux’s “Brand New.”
Dom Kennedy’s most recent drop Rap N Roll follows 2018’s Volume Two, which contained 16 tracks and assists from Glasses Malone, Mykestro, Jay 305, Krondon, and Ray Wright. More recently, he and producer Hit-Boy reunited as Half-A-Mil to release the mixtape Also Known As, which acts as a follow-up to their 2017 debut Courtesy Of Half-A-Mil.
