Next month, Trippie Redd will liberate his third studio album Pegasus, which has been preceded by the well-received singles “Excitement” with PARTYNEXTDOOR and “I Got You” with Busta Rhymes. Today, he adds to that with another cut titled “Sleepy Hollow,” a more aggressive number than previous efforts that sees production from Outtatown and Ricky P — the perfect atmosphere for Trippie’s street bars:
“Feel like Ichigo, n***a, I’m a hollow, talk down on the gang, you get some hollows, leave a n***a head lit, Sleepy Hollow, pull up in a Dark Knight, Murciélago, and I’m duckin’, dodging twelve and the potholes/
I was raised by the motherf***in’ Glock, woah, choppa hit him, make a n***a, diddy Bop, woah, choppa hit him, make a nigga Milly Rock, woah…/”
The track also sees a Halloween-esque, blood red-colored lyric video to match, with a masked Trippie Redd in the woods, seemingly looking for his next prey in the same vein as the song’s namesake.
Pegasus will follow last November’s A Love Letter to You 4, which saw 21 tracks and features from YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Tory Lanez, Smokepurpp, DaBaby, Lil Yachty, the late Juice WRLD, and more. That project landed Trippie Redd his first number one album thanks to 104,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release. This past February saw a deluxe addition of A Love Letter To You 4, adding on 8 more cuts and new assists from Chance The Rapper, Russ, Young Thug, Lil Tecca, Lil Durk, G Herbo, and SahBabii.
In related news, Pegasus has also been in the news for its polarizing album artwork, which shows him out in space wearing flesh-colored underwater with a pegasus behind him:
Press play on Trippie Redd’s hard-hitting new single below. Pegasus will officially make landfall October 30.
