Back in August, Mulatto dropped her debut studio album Queen of Da Souf, which sees 13 tracks and features from Gucci Mane, Saweetie, 21 Savage, 42 Dugg, and more. This week, she drops off a new visual from the well-received project for “In N Out,” which features City Girls and sees production from Murda Beatz and Johnny Dutra. One listen will let you know that the track’s title in no way refers to the family friendly restaurant:
“I’ma pop it if I pull out, trap who? Make him pull out, I’ve been tryna keep it classy, ho, don’t make me bring the hood out, if the b***h want beef, tell her ‘Pull up to the cookout’/
Big Latto, big backends, yeah, b***h, I’m booked out, in and out, I’ma put it in his mouth, where my crown? I’m the queen of the south/”
The video comes courtesy of Roxana Baldovin and Reel Goats, and starts with Mulatto and her girls on the porch checking out different men through the new dating app BLK. After a visit to a diner, the Atlanta-based star eventually takes over and turns the establishment into Latto’s, with Yung Miami and JT as employees.
In addition to the new music, Mulatto has become a standout of the 2020 XXL Freshman list, joining the likes of Polo G, Calboy, Jack Harlow, Fivio Foreign, CHIKA, Lil Keed, and more. The general consensus is that her freestyle eclipsed all others, making her moment one of the best from the latest group of rising artists. She also spent this year contributing her bars to tracks like NLE Choppa’s “Make Em Say,” Chloe x Halle’s “Do It (Remix),” and G-Eazy’s “Down.”
