Last month, French Montana unleashed his brand new album They Got Amnesia. Equipped with 20 records in total, French Montana tapped on a number of his peers for features including Drake, John Legend, Rick Ross, Doja Cat, Saweetie, Fabolous, and more.
In addition to They Got Amnesia was a short film that mainly documented French‘s well-known hospitalization a couple of years ago. Yesterday (Dec. 15), fans were able to check out a visual for “How You King?,” which pulls from the aforementioned film and sees him delivering bars while watching another version of himself being resuscitated by doctors in a surgery room. Today (Dec. 16), he swiftly follows up with “Didn’t Get Far,” which is a continuation of the previous visual. On the song, French flows:
Black coffee, the glasses same color molasses, same night at the Aspens (Ah), mami shakin’ asses/ Far from the hood but close enough to caption (Yeah), not the ‘Gram one night thousand grand (Yeah), you do the math/ She won’t bounce back even if I threw the pass
Lion Head, Medusa mask, haan (Haan), I hit the bottom and flip, I got juice, you can bottle me up (Up)/ And sell me for a lottery pick (Ah), we live likе the Vikings, you ain’t gettin’ far/ If you confuse bеtween the hoes and the wifin’
They Got Amnesia followed last year’s CB5, the fifth installment of his Coke Boys mixtape series that contained 19 songs and assists from the likes of Jim Jones, Lil Durk, Jack Harlow, Chinx, Max B, Benny the Butcher, and A$AP Rocky. Prior to that, French liberated They Got Amnesia‘s official predecessor MONTANA, which boasted top tier hits like “No Stylist” and “Lockjaw.”
