Offset came through for a family who was struggling to afford the cost of their groceries.

According to self-proclaimed lifestyle creator Sienna Diaz, she decided to go shopping with her mother, who had been having a “horrible day.” While at a New York City Target, they picked up some Christmas gifts and a centerpiece but were completely taken aback when they heard the total price. Moments, before they could panic, however, a woman standing next to them, purchased their items with a $200 bill. The gesture, she later learned, was made by Offset.

“He came over and gave my mom the biggest hug,” Diaz wrote next to a video of the encounter.

“He told her that whatever she was going through, that she would be okay. No one has ever done anything like this for my mom and we are truly grateful. Sending you and your family an abundance of love,” she wrote.

“Thank you sooo soo much @offsetyrn for making my mom and family’s day today. We are beyond grateful & thank you so much again for taking care of our purchase,” added Diaz.

The news of Offset’s act of kindness comes hours after he paid homage to late fashion designer Virgil Abloh, who passed away on Sunday (Nov. 28) after privately battling a rare and aggressive cancer.

“THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR OUR CULTURE AND COMMUNITY AS A BLACK MAN U CHANGED THE GAME IN DESIGN & FASHION YOU BELIEVED IN OUR YOUTH RIP @virgilabloh,” wrote the Migos star, who also mourning the loss of his friend Young Dolph. “YOU ARE THE CULTURE.”

Offset also displayed his charitable spirit when he donated $5,000 toward the funeral costs of Friday star Anthony Johnson, whose widow created a GoFundMe to raise funds for his homegoing ceremony.
