Rakeem Miles has returned with his latest single “It Is What It Is” and recruited some stars for the assist. Tapping in with a gust verse form Waka Flocka and production from the legendary Chad Hugo, the freshly released track is a colorful offering that shows off each artists’ strengths. The single is his first release of the year as he gears up for his forthcoming LP, which is slated for a 2022 release.

“It Is What It Is” came paired with a visual to enhance the track’s funky groove, featuring animation by Alvaro. The video sees a bug-eyed trio representing Rakeem, Waka, and Chad Hugo as they take on their adventures through the forest while the upbeat lyrics play:

Prior to this, Rakeem’s last official project was 2019’s Action Figure Miles. He shared a slew of singles in 2020 like “Free,” “Home,” and “People Change.” As far as what Waka Flocka has been up to, he joined Hitta Castro earlier this year for their “S.T.F.U.” track and dropped off his Mollywood project a few years back.
