The past couple of days have reignited what feels like the perpetually ongoing conversation surrounding hip-hop’s inevitable generation gap and the perspectives that each respective era fosters.

The debut episode of REVOLT TV’s new series, On Clout 9—during which guests lightheartedly and spontaneously rank a variety of random topics ranging from music to food to current events and everything in between based on clout level—has got everyone talking. The inaugural guest, Lil Xan (aka Diego), kicked off the series by unapologetically rating Tupac on the lower end of the spectrum, deeming his music as a “two” and supporting his rating with the opinion that the late legend makes “boring music.”

As the clip began to make its rounds online at a viral pace, thousands sounded off and shared their reactions online in response to LiL Xan’s REVOLT interview, with one tweetin particular catching the attention of the likes of T.I., Michael Rapaport and Waka Flocka Flame, with the latter sharing a statement arguably just as bold.

After getting wind of Lil Xan’s ‘Pac rating, which ended up resulting in the 21-year-old rapper becoming a trending topic on Twitter, Waka took to the social media platform to share a passionate opinion of his own, writing “Lil Xan banned from hip hop.”

The Atlanta-based veteran then further elaborated, explaining how he finds it hurtful to see someone of Tupac’s stature being treated with anything less than the utmost respect, especially by those emerging in today’s music landscape.

“Pac help me get thru childhood!!!” he posted in a series of tweets. “S—t hurt to see the youth disrespect man that paved the way for all of us literally… I hope nobody overlook me accomplishments when I leave. Respect is everything, never forget that.”

Although the “Betrayed” rapper initially claimed he wasn’t going to be doing any more interviews, Waka’s tweets inspired him to fire back and reassure fans he’s not throwing in the towel anytime soon.

In a recorded video clip shared on Instagram, Xan responded, saying, “PSA: Lil Xan’s not going anywhere. Sorry. You gotta look at this ugly face for a lot longer, guys.”

Lil Xan is currently readying his debut album, Total Xanarchy, recently revealing that 2 Chainz, YG, Diplo and others are among the highly anticipated project’s featured guests.

Interestingly enough (and as fate would have it), while the score remains far from being settled, Waka Flocka Flame has been tapped as the next guest on REVOLT TV’s _On Clout 9 _series. Keep it locked to see how the conversation will continue on REVOLT, with the next installment slated for release tomorrow (Thursday, March 8).
