Next month, Alicia Keys will liberate her eighth studio album KEYS, a double album that will contain a healthy 26 songs and was initially led by the Swae Lee-assisted bop “LALA (Unlocked).” Last week, she added to that with “Best of Me,” which Keys produced and wrote alongside Sam Morton and Raphael Saddiq, respectively. Taking from Sade’s 90’s classic “Cherish The Day,” “Best of Me” sees the NYC star essentially pouring her heart out her love interest:

“You get the side of me, I would hold back and not reveal, you feed the mystery, you are my red and my blue pill, it makes me come alive, don’t be a lie, it feels so real, you get the best of me … we can live onThe air, do you understand?”

The accompanying visual for “Best of Me” begins with a beautiful shot of Alicia Keys in a white room wearing what almost looks like a wedding dress, holding a bouquet of flowers made from sheet music. Things then center around her undying bond with husband Swizz Beatz, with shots of the couple being affectionate in different locations — in a bar, on a terrace within their magnificent residence, on the beach, and even with their children. Relationship goals, indeed.

Recently, her and Swizz were featured in Architectural Digest, allowing readers and viewers an in-depth look inside their aforementioned La Jolla, California palace. In the piece, the Songs In A Minor artist spoke on how a meditation session ultimately led her to acquire the sprawling estate:

“In that moment, I felt like I was witnessing a beautiful metaphor, and I wanted to not ever forget how endless we are and how the unimaginable can happen. That’s what did it for me. I was taken.”
