Victoria Monét shared the ultimate summer track “Coastin’” a few weeks back, which was a breezy song is intended to be the perfect soundtrack to enjoy a day out in the sun. She now returns with a new offering of an older track “Touch Me” as she shares a stunning new live session of the song. The original “Touch Me” is the finale track off of Victoria Monét’s JAGUAR project, but later on received a show-stopping remix when Kehlani hopped on the track. As the bright lights luminate behind her, Victoria delivers her sensual lyrics with much ease:
Went from hands on the wheel to hands on my thigh to hands on my body in the back of the Porsche/ I’m in love with your fingertips, I reminisce places you kiss/
Girl, it’s been too long and when you rock them short nails, that’s lowkey sentimental/ Now keep ‘em cut though so there ain’t no incidentals, and I love them tattoos, I still gotta learn ‘em all/
Victoria’s other recent single is “F.U.C.K.,” which made landfall back in February and was the first release to follow the critically heralded JAGUAR project. When she’s not shining in front of the mic, her pen is still busy working. Monét is responsible for some of chart-topping hits, penning recently for artists like Chloe X Halle and Selena Gomez.
Via press release, Victoria previously spoke about how she feels about “Touch Me”: “This song is a very personal one. As artists, it’s special when we let the music document the details of real experiences and that’s what ‘Touch Me’ does. I think it’s beautiful for so many reasons and I hope people can find their own reasons with every listen.”
