Big news for fans of Terrace Martin — the renowned artist, musician, and producer has announced that he’ll be releasing a new album this week titled DRONES. The project will consist of 13 songs with a wealth of contributions from D Smoke, Leon Bridges, Robert Glasper, YG, Arin Ray, Smino, Cordae, and more. Upon revealing the project’s full tracklist, fans were immediately drawn to its title track, which brings together Ty Dolla $ign, James Fauntleroy, Snoop Dogg, and Kendrick Lamar, the last of whom officially returned to wax this year for Baby Keem’s debut LP The Melodic Blue.
Today (Nov. 2), Martin gives the world a taste of what to expect with the short play “Leave Us Be,” a groovy offering that he co-produced alongside Trevor Lawrence Jr. and Jeff Gitelman that sees him singing about living life in Los Angeles:
“Early Friday, traffic on the 405, grab my cell phone, check out what’s on Live, throw my phone down, police passin’ by, L.A. living, homies stay on go, the hood relentless, pain is all we know, baby moms pull up trippin’, police passin’ by, just leave, just leave, just leave us be…”
Press play on Terrace Martin’s “Leave Us Be.” DRONES officially makes landfall Nov. 5 — you can check out the full tracklisting for that as well.
