Back in July, Snoh Aalegra released her third studio LP TEMPORARY HIGHS IN THE VIOLET SKIES, a 15-track body of work that contains a wealth of contributions from the likes of No I.D., The Neptunes, Christian Rich, James Fauntleroy, and Tyler, The Creator — the last of whom both produced and appeared on the songs “IN THE MOMENT” and “NEON PEACH.” Today (Oct. 24), fans can now enjoy a new visual for “NEON PEACH,” a funky number about what sounds like former lovers contemplating revisitation:
“Your boyfriend a clown, you lookin’ like a birthday party, loud as a motherfucker, gifts all gaudy, and you gon’ be hurt until he blurt, I’m sorry, tryna play it off, leavin’ with your shirt all soggy, drunk collar, me the Don Dada, gyal come with, hit it off, piñata, sweet as the guts, then you can sit on the steps, but make a choice ‘cause you ‘bout to lose your spot on the jet…”
The accompanying clip comes courtesy of I.P.W. and matching the energy of the song with shots of Snoh rocking some provocative attire in a few different locations, including in an all white room and while sipping tea from the top of a makeshift hill. Tyler shows up in a miniature car and delivers his verse from a science lab, further making this video as unpredictable as possible.
Tyler has been enjoying quite a banner year himself, much in part thanks to his June release and sixth album CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST, which saw assists from DJ Drama, 42 Dugg, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert, and more. That project has also since proven to be one of the best-selling this year, earning Tyler his second number one on the Billboard 200 thanks to 169,000 first-week album equivalent units sold.
Party with Snoh Aalegra and Tyler, The Creator below.
