Proudly hailing from the South Side of Chicago, Ann Marie delivered her Hate Love project earlier last month. She now decided to double down and unleash the deluxe version of the project, adding on four new tracks and a feature from Chris Brown. The project was preceded with singles like “Hate Love,” “Come Over” featuring Yung Bleu. and “Like That” and also originally included an assist from Tink. Right from her first few lyrics on the album, she lets her vulnerable emotions shine through:
Have you ever felt alone? (Damaged) In a world full of millions of people? (Damaged)/ Tell me if I’m reading your soul wrong, ‘cause right now I feel we’re equal/ I know that I’m broken, I’m damaged, but I need your attention, I’m feenin’
I’m so used to feeling abandoned, but I won’t you to love me like you mean it/ If I give you the blueprint to my heart, tell me, do you know just where to start?/ Can you help climb from out the dark? ‘Cause love seems so hard, said, love seems so far/ I need someone to makе meet me halfway (Halfway)
Prior to this project, Ann Marie delivered her Pretty Psycho project. The 11-track body of work included guest appearances from names like Jeremih, Calboy, Q Money, and Sonta. Aside from her own music, Ann Marie can be heard on a slew of different projects as she showed up for her peers with her talents. She landed on Hypno Carlito’s outro track “Real One,” assisted Mitch on his 2020 Better For You album, linked up with Sonta for their “Picture This” track, and collaborated with Shordie Shordie for “L.O.V.”
