21 Savage nearly took a dramatic tumble during the Greensboro, North Carolina stop on J. Cole’s “The Off-Season Tour.” On Tuesday night (Sept. 28), the emcee took the stage to perform “A Lot” alongside the “Middle Child” rapper. While on stage, he tripped but caught himself before he hit the ground, a moment that was captured in a clip he later shared on Instagram.
“This the closest I’ll ever be to falling off…pu$$y!” 21 Savage captioned the video, which received comments from the likes of Drake, G Herbo and more.
“Agile,” joked the Certified Lover Boy star. Many of the other comments, like those from DJ Clue and Herbo, were simply laughing emojis.
“The Off-Season Tour” kicked off in Miami on Friday night (Sept. 24) and featured surprise guest Drake, who proceeded to give Cole his flowers on stage. Dates for the Philadelphia and Detroit stops have been postponed after delays at the Greensboro show.
According to Cole, the delays were a result of issues with lighting and setting up the basketball court that is part of his set. With a nine-hour drive to the next stop, he calculated that he wouldn’t make it on time to set up and take the stage for his fans in Philly before issuing an apology to those anticipating the show.
“I apologize for the inconvenience,” Cole said. “I know people done hired babysitters, some people drive in from out of town, I hate this shit. Even the fact that people waiting outside right now in Greensboro … that shit is A.) embarrassing and B.) I think about people’s time. This is the first time this ever happened to us. So I apologize for this shit.”
The Philadelphia show has now been moved to Oct. 27, while Detroit fans who are looking forward to seeing Cole will be able to watch him up close on Oct. 25.
