Nicki Minaj often praises Lil Wayne for believing in her and launching her career in the mainstream, and today (Sept. 27) is no different. The “How to Love” emcee turns 39 years old, so Nicki took to her Instagram Story to show him some birthday love.
Alongside a throwback picture of her and Wayne, she wrote, “The 1st pic I ever took w/ the man who changed my life. Happy Birthday to my everything @liltunechi.” She also warned her many followers of the flood of Wayne photos she intends to add to her day-long tribute to the New Orleans rapper.
Nicki’s post is one of many tributes paying homage to Weezy on his birthday. His daughter, Reginae Carter, also took to social media to honor her father. “Happy birthday to the goat,” she penned next to a picture of her and the “Lollipop” emcee. “I love you fatherrrrrr. Besties forever & ever. We turning up fasho when I see you! Enjoy your day.” She posted more pictures of them in her story as well as videos of her singing along to her father’s music.
Rich the Kid also showed Tunechi some love while teasing his forthcoming album with the rapper. “Happy Birthday big bro @liltunechi. This Friday (Oct. 1), we make history.” Trust Fund Babies, RTK’s joint project with Wayne, is the first of three projects that the “Mirror” star is expected to release.
“Anybody that’s like a Wayne fan, they know that I Am Not A Human Being III is up, coming up soon,” Mack Maine once said during a Twitter Spaces conversation. “ColleGrove [2] is coming out soon, with him and 2 Chainz — I was about to say Tity Boi, we still call him Tity Boi. But uh, yeah, so it’s a lot of music Wayne’s working on.”
