This past weekend, Mozzy drops off his latest body of work Untreated Trauma, which comes with 10 tracks and additional features from EST Gee, Babyface Ray, Celly Ru, YFN Lucci, Kalan.FrFr, and E Mozzy. Yesterday (Sept. 20), the Sacramento talent liberated a new visual from said project for “Tycoon,” a hard-hitting cut that’s seemingly dedicated to anyone that thinks he or his team can be crossed:

“Suckers lookin’ for me, then tell ‘em to, ‘Slide through,’ turned lil’ dootie to a doobie, them pussies can die too, ay, all my niggas trained to go on sight, choppa with double D’s, drop the low and you iced, you slidin’ with you yeekie, I slither with mine too, cubicles in your Carti, it’s glitter in mine too, now a days, when there’s smoke, they take it straight to the neck, for the temporary clout that don’t amount to respect, nigga…”

Directed by David Camarena, the accompanying clip for “Tycoon” begins with Mozzy and an attractive travel partner riding through the streets in a bright red Ferrari. Him and his companion can then be seen making different stops throughout the neighborhood, including the liquor store, car wash, to hang with some crew members, and more.

Untreated Trauma follows May’s Kommunity Service, Mozzy’s joint effort with YG, and last September’s Occupational Hazard, a 14-track solo effort that saw contributions from Quando Rondo, Wale, Blxst, Trae Tha Truth, Tsu Surf, Stacy Barthe, and more. 2020 also saw him delivering the critically acclaimed album Beyond Bulletproof, with the likes of Shordie Shordie, G Herbo, Polo G, the late King Von, and Eric Bellinger making notable appearances.

In a recent sit-down with “The Breakfast Club,” Mozzy spoke on the album’s title and the reality surrounding mental health in his community:

“If we lose somebody right now, we’ll go to the funeral, get high, and you know, rep him to death … The people who look like us or come from the streets, I feel like, we look down upon expressing ourselves to somebody else, or just cleansing the soul. And I feel like it’s important to implicate in the music.”
