Rapper Woadie2Live has passed away. The 21-year-old emcee behind songs “First Day Out,” “New Opps” and “Whole Lotta Money” reportedly died on Monday (Sept 6). His death was confirmed by his manager and friends, who posted social media tributes in honor of the late star.
After learning the news, Woadie’s manager Israel took to Instagram to make the tragic announcement while expressing his gratitude for their friendship. “This one really hurt,” he captioned a picture of him and Woadie. “Thank you for trusting me as your manager and friend then. Rest in Heaven my boy,” he added before sending well wishes to the rapper’s family.
In another tribute, Asian Doll mourned the loss of the emcee, who she called her “brother. “Man my heart can’t take no more I’m lost for words I don’t know what to say,” she wrote next to several photos and videos that display their friendship. “My brother really gone man.”
On Twitter, alongside a clip of Woadie supporting her at a concert, she tweeted, “Hug, Love & Enjoy Your People While They Still Here.” She also exchanged words with a friend of the rapper, who thanked her for always showing the late emcee “major love.”
The details of Woadie2live’s passing are not clear, but social media users believe the rapper was fatally shot outside of a Dallas club and transported to Baylor Hospital where he took his last breaths. Reports say that he was shot by Bandman Fari, who was arrested on a murder charge. The alleged suspect, who appeared in several of Woadie’s music videos, was supposedly jealous of the rapper’s success and increasing fame. He is now being held on $250,000 bond. Nothing, however, has been confirmed.
REVOLT sends our condolences to the family and friends of Woadie2live.
