At some point, BIG30 will liberate his new project, said to be titled King of Killbranch, to the masses — a project that’s already been preceded by top quality singles like “Mista” and “Too Official.” Today (August 13), The Memphis rising star adds to that with “Backseat Of The Rolls Truck,” a DJ KJ and DJ KC-produced offering that sees him delivering non-fiction subject matter regarding his position in the streets:
“Backseat of the Rolls truck, keep po’ing up, pint damn near empty, mo’ drank that I po’ up, the deeper I get in my feelings … these raps here just an image, gotta know that I’m still spendin’, never paid for a hit, 30 get active wit’ them switches…”
In addition to his own releases, BIG30 has been building on his assist stats, having providing show-stealing verses on dope cuts like Gucci Mane’s “Shit Crazy,” Pooh Sheisty’s “Neighbors,” Moneybagg Yo’s “GO!,” Bankroll Freddie’s “When I Shoot,” Only The Family’s “Took Down,” and Lil Jairmy’s “Block Money.” Just last weekend, he could be heard on Fredo Bang’s Murder Made Me standout “Shake-N-Bake.”
A few weeks ago, BIG30 took to social media to address growing comparisons between him and his close compadre Pooh Shiesty — someone who he’s been showing heavy support for since Pooh’s unfortunate incarceration:
“It got to be spoken on quick. Stop comparin’ me to my nigga. Where they do that at? When that shit start? The goal is not to be better than my nigga. Why y’all in my comments, ‘Told y’all he better than Shiesty’ or ‘He sound like Shiesty,’ ‘Shiesty better than 30, ‘30 better than Shiesty.’ That shit weak … We ain’t competin’ against each other. We don’t do that on this side.”
