Back in May, Yung Baby Tate unleashed the deluxe version of her 2020 project After The Rain. She now makes her swift return to revamp the well-received project once again, this time teaming up with DJ Hollygrove to slow down the pace a bit and give After The Rain the chopped and screwed treatment. On the freshly released ChopNotSlop version of the project, the tracklist is slightly rearranged as well, this time kicking off with the lusty “Baecation” track, where YBT comes in to describe her perfect night:

I want a first date, out of state, like Wanna/ You know the drinks hit different when they palm a, cocoa butter skin glistenin’ by the water/ Baecation with me and somebody daughter, hate waiting, so don’t miss your departure

It’s all up to you, I can take you farther than he do/ Sex in San Tropez, don’t tell me, “No”/ We should go today, throw your cares away like seasons go/ You need a little change, I ain’t got no panties on me

The original After The Rain project included seven new tracks and features from Flo Milli and 6lack. For the Flo-Milli-assisted “I Am,” Yung Baby Tate made sure to take the time to cook up a stunning official visual that oozed confidence did the collab justice. Since then, she has also dropped off an equally vibrant visual for “Eenie Meenie.”

In a recent sit-down with REVOLT, Yung Baby Tate delved into what she wants to see more of in the future of the female rap game:

I want to see more brown skin and dark skin female rappers at the forefront. Not just in rap because I’m not just a rapper, but in music in general. It’s a blessing for Black women of any color to be on the podiums and the pedestals we’re on in those types of spotlights. But, one thing I really want to see, I hope to see, and I will see in the future is way more representation for brown and darker skin Black women.
