Last month, Jor’Dan Armstrong dropped off an amazing new single titled “My God,” which — as the title reveals — acts as a powerful measure of the Baton Rouge star’s Christian faith. Now, he ups the ante with a new visual for the uplifting number, which comes courtesy of Creedlife and begins with Armstrong at a car dealership with none other than a hilarious Lil Yachty, who proceeds to provide the artist with a C8 Corvette based off of his “Christian credit score. Elsewhere, Armstrong performs the track on a basketball course and a parking garage — the latter of which also boasts some additional luxury vehicles to admire.
Earlier in his career, Armstrong began his ascent to greatness by lending his production abilities to the likes of Hamilton Park, Netta Brielle, and Adrian Marcel before gradually adding on icons like Tyrese and newly minted “Verzuz” participant Keith Sweat to his impressive resume. He’s also previously performed at concerts alongside gospel heavyweights Isreal Haughton, Mary Mary, and Fred Hammond.
Back in 2018, Armstrong liberated his most recent project BLSD, which consisted of three separate, smaller projects and featured contributions from Y’Anna Crawley, Bizzle, Dante Bowe, Tim Bowman, Jr., 1kphew, Lowell Pye, and Kierra Sheard. More recently, he dropped off the equally infectious “God Got Me” in March of last year. Outside of his own work, Armstrong has also collaborated on tracks like Zo Frank’s “Nameless II,” Victory World Music’s “The Question Is,” Stevie Rizo’s “Big Blessings,” Joshua Kenneth’s “Way Up,” and Brea Miles’ “Crazy Faith,” among many others. Hopefully, bonafide hits like “My God” and “God Got Me” point to a new full-length body of work sometime in the near future.
