A Verzuz battle between N.O.R.E. and Beanie Sigel may be underway, according to the “Drink Champs” star. During an interview with “The Breakfast Club” on Tuesday (June 29), the Queens emcee shared his thoughts on battling the Philadelphia rapper.

“If you want to compare us on paper, it’s no match,” N.O.R.E. said. “Let me just be clear, everything I’ve said about Beanie Sigel, I’m joking about Beanie Sigel. I’m trying to be funny,” he continued. Despite them being in two different leagues, he said he would be down to go head-to-head with Sigel mainly to school him for dissing JAY-Z in the past.

“At the end of the day I want to teach him a lesson that loyalty is better than anything,” he explained. “A lot of people still don’t forgive Beans for dissing the god of hip-hop. Let’s just be clear.”

N.O.R.E’s conversation with “The Breakfast Club” cohosts follows a previous post in which the podcaster joked that he would beat Sigel in a Verzuz. On Monday (June 28), he shared a photo on his Instagram account that captured him and JAY laughing amid a FaceTime call. Hov, he said, is siding with him if the battle goes down. The post garnered thousands of comments, including one from Sigel, who appears to be down to compete as well.

“No No No to late Chico,” the Philly star wrote. “Let’s get it, I was fall back working on myself minding my business… The sign at the zoo say don’t poke the bear! You done woke up a grizzly!! Let’s do it.”

Sigel then took to his own page and reposted N.O.R.E’s photo, writing, “Is it me or do it look like Jay telling @therealnoreaga. ‘You know you done fucked up right?’ You said you brought the beer …. You know you done fucked up right!!!!”

It’s not clear whether the exchange between N.O.R.E. and Sigel will turn into an actual Verzuz, but until we hear from Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, enjoy “The Breakfast Club” clip and the posts from both hip hop stars below.
