Last week, the ninth installment of the popular Fast & Furious series finally arrived in American theaters. Fans were able to feed into the hype building up by indulging in F9: The Fast Saga a week in advance, which follows last year’s Road to Fast 9 mixtape and sees a slew of contributions from Trippie Redd, Skepta, Pop Smoke, King Von, Sean Paul, Lil Tecca, Polo G, Offset, and more.
The project was preceded by the singles “Fast Lane” with Don Toliver, Lil Durk, and Latto, and now the track receives a high-energy visual to go along with it. In the Michael Garcia-directed clip, Don Toliver opens up the visual with his melodic hook, complete with plenty of references to the high-speed theme of the movie
Moving on, speeding through the fast lane/ They say I know magic how my whips change, they don’t see what I see/ Love it a game, you know it’s past me
Zero to hundred, you know I’m on-on go/ Play with my dawgs, you know I’m on-on go (Let’s get it)/ Hallow some bottles, you know I’m on-on go/
Aside from releasing his own project last year titled Heaven or Hell, which included successful hits such as “After Party” and “No Idea,” Don Toliver has taken part in plenty of notable assists in 2020, such as Internet Money’s “Lemonade” alongside Gunna and NAV, Rico Nasty’s “Don’t Like Me” with Gucci Mane, “Cafeteria” by CHASE B featuring Gunna, and more. Most recently, he appeared on Drakeo The Ruler’s The Truth Hurts mixtape.
Most recently, Latto dropped off her new single “The Biggest,” her first release after her official name change. In regards to what Durk has been up to, he just recently shared his collab project The Voice of the Heroes with Lil Baby. This year also saw Durk connecting with his Only The Family collective for Loyal Bros, a compilation that also featured contributions from Lil Uzi Vert, Tee Grizzley, BIG30, Foogiano, and more.
