After months of keeping somewhat of a low profile, Cardi B surprised fans when she revealed that she and her husband, Offset, are expecting their second child together.

During Migos’ performance at the BET Awards 2021 on Sunday (June 27), the group debuted some news moves to their hit “Straightenin” before transitioning to “Type Shit,” which features the Bronx rapper. As she took the stage to rap her verse and debut her belly bump, posts were simultaneously shared on her social media accounts, confirming that she was indeed pregnant.

Cardi later took to her Instagram story to record her live reaction to the announcement of Video of the Year, which ultimately went to her and Megan Thee Stallion’s collaboration, “WAP.”

Noting she’d exerted too much energy on stage, she admitted that she was too tired to accept the award, leaving the speech to the “Thot Shit” star. Aside from that, not much information about Cardi’s thoughts on the pregnancy were revealed…until now.

On Monday (June 28), the “Up” emcee shared breathtaking maternity photos, which featured appearances from Offset and their daughter, Kulture.

Alongside the picture with the “Clout” rapper, Cardi opened up about the role faith and communication played as they worked on conceiving their second child.

“We listened to each other, communicated, prayed and then God blessed us and our family with another little blessing,” she captioned the photo. “Our home feels so blissful and very busy, but we are ready and so happy!! Thank you soo much everyone for the congrats and well wishes.”

The mother-daughter photo alongside Kulture was also accompanied by heartfelt words. “I just know these two will love each other soo much and argue soo much since they’re 3 years apart…just like me and Henny,” Cardi penned. “But one thing for sure is they’ll have each other’s back like no one else ever will.”
