When it comes to today’s collective of music producers, Zubin can be considered a prime example of someone who’s looking to blur the lines of genres and styles altogether. Hailing from New Jersey, the rising talent has also expanded his skill set into engineering and mixing, further implementing his objective. Having been influenced by the likes of current frontrunners Noah “40” Shebib and Scott Storch, Zubin now delivers what he calls the “Save Me Sound,” which he himself describes as “epic, melodic, and powerful.”

Previously, Zubin has already connected with artists like DMV’s YungManny and Xanman for the well-received drops “My J’s” and “New Life,” respectively — for his latest, he connects with glvsshouse, Dek Amazing, and Koi for the infectious single “Woke Up,” which sees the artists harmonizing about their successes, women (“She never used to call me, now she always call me”), and more.

“Woke Up” also sees an accompanying clip courtesy of Declan Kyle, which is mainly centered around Zubin roaming through what looks like a warehouse, passing through different rooms where each collaborator performs their part. At the end, the producer then makes his way to the exit — perhaps symbolizing his eventual transition from obscurity to commercial fame.

Via press release, Zubin further explained the melodic release and what it means to him — even referring to a couple of other well-known producers that have made an impact on his overall process:

“I feel like it’s the first track I’ve released where I really had the chance to bring together some fire artists with different styles onto one track. It’s definitely a unique song and the way I composed it was inspired by producers like Metro Boomin and DJ Khaled.”
