Pusha T and Drake’s beef is proving to have a bit more shelf life than once thought.
This past weekend, Drake appeared on LeBron’s HBO show “The Shop” and during the open conversation, Drizzy recalled working with Kanye West. Then, Pusha insinuated that it was Ye who gossiped to him about the existence of Drake’s hidden child. However, things took yet another interesting turn on Wednesday (Oct. 17) when the Virginia rapper broke his silence on the matter, as he sat down with Joe Budden to set the record straight.
According to King Push, the intel fueling his “The Story of Adidon” diss track actually wasn’t provided by West. But, it instead came from someone close to the 6 God: Noah “40” Shebib.
“The information came from [Noah ’40’ Shebib],” Pusha revealed during his guest appearance on the Joe Budden Podcast. “It didn’t come from Kanye, at all. 40 is sleeping with a woman who begins to, you know, he talks to her daily, five, six hours a day, provides opportunity for her and ultimately speaks on how he’s disgruntled about certain things, notoriety and things involving Drake and his career. So on and so forth. With that also came the fact that Drake has a child. With that also came the trip that everybody took to go see the child and bring him gifts, and all of this information. She divulged this information.”
Drake previously explained that Pusha mentioning his close friend and collaborator’s illness was a violation, defending his friend and expressing that those lyrics crossed a line.
“When you mention defenseless people who are sick in the hospital that passed away, that really sent me to a place where, you know, I just believe then and believe now that there’s a price you have to pay for that,” Drake said as he explained where their beef got personal. “It’s just, it’s over. Someone’s gonna punch you in the fucking face.”
Pusha also addressed Drake’s claims he “wished death” upon 40. Push said that he never did. Instead, he was “just acknowledging an ailment.” Previously, Push also reacted to the song being released on World MS Day by saying, “Oh man, wow, that’s ironic.”
