Next week, Gucci Mane will unveil his fifteenth studio LP Ice Daddy, which is led by singles like “Shit Crazy” with BIG30 and “Poppin” with newly minted 1017 signee BigWalkDog. This week, the Atlanta legend drops off another track titled “Like 34 & 8,” a Mike WiLL Made-It-produced offering that features Pooh Shiesty and sees the two collaborators rapping about guns, money, and women, among other things:
“We strapped up like the Taliban, my hood something like Afghanistan, and I just put some cheese on his head like a Pakistan, Shiesty, that’s my Kobe Bryant, ain’t no way I’m tradin’ the man…”
Gucci’s last official album, Woptober II, was released in 2019 and featured plenty of contributions from YoungBoy Never Broke Again, DaBaby, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, Kodak Black, Quavo, Kevin Gates, Peewee Longway, OJ Da Juiceman, and more. Woptober II also peaked at the number nine spot on the Billboard 200, making it Gucci’s seventh top 10 album overall. More recently, Gucci has been turning his efforts towards his growing New 1017 empire, delivering the projects So Icy Summer and So Icy Gang Vol. 1 — both of which heavily features his artist roster.
As one of the New 1017 frontrunners, Pooh Shiesty’s been sailing off of the release of February’s Shiesty Season, a top five Billboard 200 success that — according to the Memphis star himself — has since crossed the Gold certification mark. In celebration of that achievement, fans then got a Spring Deluxe upgrade of that album with four additional songs. Unfortunately, Shiesty has found himself in legal trouble, as mere days ago saw him turning himself in to Miami police over his involvement a strip club shooting — reports are also stating that he’s facing a minimum of 20 years if found guilty of his charges.
