Next month, Space Jam lovers will rejoice as the revamped installment of the iconic feature film will officially arrive. Space Jam: A New Legacy is set to hit the streets on July 16, and until then, we are given a few cuts from the star-studded official soun/ dtrack to enjoy.
The latest taste is from SAINt JHN and SZA, as they release their collab track “Just For Me,” and judging by the lovestruck lyrics it’s safe to assume this song will play during an infatuation-filled scene:
And she beautiful, I notice she knows it/ And my heart gets involved and it’s out of my control/ She’s too beautiful, just ignore it
So I lay my hands on her head and say “Baby, you’re mine”/ This feeling’s unusual, fell in love, all I know/ She’s the kind you can’t let go/ So, so, I learn to fall in love
At the tail end of 2020, after prepping fans with plenty of visuals, SAINt JHN delivered his While The World Was Burning album. The project boasts an impressive roster of assists including names like Lil Uzi Vert, Kanye West, Future, JID, 6lack, DaBaby, and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, and Kehlani. Most recently, SAINt presented a “Monica Lewinsky, Election Year.” The new video follows the previously released visuals for “Smack DVD,” “Sucks To Be You,” “Gorgeous,” “Roses (Remix),” and “Ransom.”
Earlier this year, SZA made headlines with her collab track with Doja Cat “Kiss Me More,” which instantly became a smash hit. Although we don’t know much solid information about the next project, SZA spoke about it in a previous interview with Zane Lowe and revealed that, although she’s given us a taste, we still should expect the unexpected. “This body of work is very…um… Everything sounds different, but it all sounds like me,” she says. “So like ‘Hit Different’ doesn’t sound like anything else on the project and neither does ‘Good Days.’”
Be sure to tune into SAINt JHN and SZA’s brand new collab track “Just For Me.”
