At the start of the year, RMR revealed that he would soon be blessing his fans with his debut LP, said to be titled HOTEL. Shortly after, he gave fans a taste of what to expect with “Her Honeymoon,” complete with a matching visual that sees RMR asking viewers how the story should end.
Today, RMR returns with a new single titled “Vibes,” which features assistance from Tyla Yaweh and sees the collaborators singing about relationships and trysts with women:
“Not satisfied, I want all of it, superstitions, got the lord on my side, you can run but you can’t hide, baby, switch up and make up a story, I can’t even count how many times, I’ve been in and out of love, baby, walked around with a broken heart, take it out and replace it with something much harder, I promise I’ll never get diamonds locked in…”
Last year, RMR shook the world and joined the country-hip hop fusion movement with “Rascal,” an infectious flip of Rascal Flatts’ “Bless The Broken Road” — that song was made even more popular thanks to its unintentionally hilarious video. Following the piano-driven number’s viral success, the Atlanta-based talent followed up with his debut EP DRUG DEALING IS A LOST ART, which — including “Rascal” — saw eight dope cuts with additional appearances from Westside Gunn, Future, and Lil Baby. Before 2020 came to close, RMR then released a three-part series of connecting songs and visuals titled 4th Qtr Medley, which featured re-imaginations of songs by Matchbox Twenty, Drake, and The Goo Goo Dolls — Amber Rose even made a random appearance in one of the clips.
Press play on RMR and Tyla Yaweh’s “Vibes” video, which also sees a cameo from Jamie Foxx. Hopefully, we’ll be getting plenty more details about HOTEL — including a tracklist and release date — sooner than later.
