With another week of solid music releases intact, 42 Dugg picked a great time to step up to the plate for his latest release. What a great day it is for Yo Gotti’s CMG imprint as Detroit’s own 42 Dugg drops off his latest project. His new album FREE DEM BOYZ is here and it’s nothing short of heat. If you’re familiar with Dugg, you know how he’s coming in the booth and he doesn’t take his foot off the gas with this new drop. He’s unlike any other new rapper right now and as he continues to carve out his own lane, he does it gracefully and tastefully. Now is the time to wake up if you’ve been snoozing.
42 Dugg is clearly ready for his time to shine in the spotlight. At the rate he’s going, he’ll be there in no time. For much of his life, things have been uncertain. The CMG/4PF rapper has had difficulty staying out of trouble, getting locked up for six years early in his life and being forced to grow up in the hole. Beginning to take rap seriously when he was in solitary confinement, Dugg realized that he could make a career out of this, which would prevent him from needing to hustle to come up with money.
Fast forwarding to this year, Dugg continues to settle in his success with his album FREE DEM BOYZ. Serving as a dedication to his loved ones locked up or passed away, the album is filled with raw emotion through his messages over solid production with memorable features. Speaking of features, Roddy Ricch, Future, Lil Durk, Rylo Rodriguez, Rowdy Rebel, Fivio Foreign, and EST Gee have musical contributions.
FREE DEM BOYZ might be 42 Dugg’s best work to date and judging from the sound of it, we’re in for an even better treat for his next release. Check it out and let us know your thoughts!
