It’s been a couple of years since Lil Gnar liberated his last body of work Fire Hazard, which saw 12 tracks with additional features from YBN Nahmir, Thouxanbanfauni, Lil Yachty, Craig Xen, UnoTheActivist, Robb Bank$, Tyla Yaweh, and more. Since then, the Oakland-to-Atlanta star has blessed his fans with loose cuts like “Brand New Booty,” “Diamond Choker” with Lil Uzi Vert, “HEY!” with Lil Keed, “Missles” with Trippie Redd, and “Not The Same” with Lil Skies — last year also saw the well-received EP Big Bad Gnar Shit 2 alongside Germ.
This past weekend, Gnar drops off his latest single “New Bugatti,” which features Ski Mask The Slump God, Chief Keef, and DJ Scheme, the last of whom produced the synth-heavy number alongside Nuri. The subject matter for the track is centered around the artists’ rockstar lifestyles:
“Got a new Bugatti, play my music when I’m drivin’, like I’m Lil Weezy, tattoos all over my body, foreigns from the islands, finna split a dose of molly, she gon’ spit all on my Johnny while a nigga flyin’ private, fuckin’ with me, get stamps on your passport, I been smoking gas, boy, my pistol electric, it light up like a Tesla, I got all the junkies on the block, I got a meth lab, thirty-five hundred for the coat, that’s a Moncler…”
Directed by HiGHDEAS, the accompanying visual mainly shows Gnar and Ski Mask in different locations while showing off a black-and-white Bugatti Veyron in the background. Elsewhere, Gnar hits what looks like an auto body shop while Chief Keef performs his verse.
Press play on Lil Gnar, Ski Mask The Slump God, Chief Keef, and DJ Scheme’s new video below. As with some of the aforementioned releases, “New Bugatti” is expected to appear on Gnar’s forthcoming project GNAR Lif3 2, the sequel to 2018’s GNAR Lif3.
