Just last month, Tru Carr unleashed his Based on a TRU Story project and although it hasn’t been too long since, he decided it’s time for another single as the summer months swiftly approach. He tapped in with one of music’s busiest stars currently Coi Leray for this one, and the two made sure to link up for the official video as well. On the track, Tru Carr handles the opening verse:

The aforementioned Based on a TRU Story project includes 12 tracks. It also boasts a handful of features from names like G Perico, Rich The Kid, Hardini, Sada Baby, and more. From the project, we’ve seen an official video for the Blueface-assisted cut “Outside.”

Coi Leray’s momentum in 2021 is something special to witness, as she’s garnering attention at every turn. Starting off in January, Coi Leray shared her reflective single “No More Parties,” a track that sees her unloading her current most candid thoughts. Her vulnerability rewarded her by making the track one of her most well-received, and she circled back to deliver a revamped version with an assist from none other than Lil Durk. Then she unleashed “Big Purr” featuring Pooh Shiesty, and the song was viral from one clip way before the official song and video were even released. She also starred in the music video for one of the biggest songs of the year “Track Star” by Mooski.
